62 for Melo

Carmelo Anthony really put on a show for the Garden when he went OFF for 62 POINTS!!!
“To be honest, coming into today’s game, I just had a different type of focus,” Anthony said after his career-defining moment. “Guys were asking me what was wrong before the game. Wasn’t really nothing wrong, just for some reason I had that. I was locked in from the beginning of the game, before the game. It was just a mind-set tonight.”
Anthony’s 62 points set a franchise record previously held by King, who scored 60 points 30 years ago. It’s also the most points scored at the current MSG, surpassing Bryant’s mark of 61 set nearly five years ago to the day. “It really didn’t sink in yet,” Anthony said. “What happened tonight, it still feels surreal for me.”
The previous Knicks single-game scoring record was set in 1984 by Bernard King.
